Your January saviour

This wine has been on my radar for more than a year. It's from one of my favourite regions in Spain; Rioja. Situated in the northern part of Spain, it's both the most well known area and the most traditional when it comes to winemaking.
But things are changing, and young and fresh ideas are getting acknowledgement around the globe. The winemakers behind this bottle wanted to create something new, but still respect the history and the terroir. It's all about biodynamic and small scale production. Things that have a very good ring to it in 2021 😊
Artuke has 95% Tempranillo and since they don't use any oak, it gives you a nice chance to taste what this grape is all about.
It's a lot of wine for the money and a versatile bottle when it comes to food. All we need in January.

Artuke 2019 - 174kr

Dark red colour.
Lovely smell of morels, cherries and flower garden. It also has a nice touch of toasted wood.
Super juicy and rich in the mouth, with good flavours from morels and dark berries. Balanced and nice acidity. Good length and long after taste. Moderate tannins.

With food
Fun combination of great fruit and moderate tannins makes this excellent with many types of food.
Try it with lamb, creamy pork dishes or chicken salad with a creamy dressing.
Or try it with your favourite vegetarian dish.

Value for money.
