Summer is drawing to a close and the weather has turned a bit. It’s time to get ready for autumn but before the colours turn yellow, orange and brown there is time to enjoy a summer wine that’s perfect for the transition into fall.

This week we have gone to Beaujolais to find our wine. Most famous for its “new wine”, the Beaujolais Nouveau, the wines here are mostly made from the Gamay grape. It gives very fruity and fresh wines with flavours of strawberries and raspberries and at its best can be so, so good.

Tasting notes:

Château Cambon Brouilly 2017 - kr 216,90
Beautiful purple hue to the dark red colour. Scent of strawberries and cherries. Good structure in the mouth. It tastes of strawberries and raspberries and is so easy and delightful to drink. A wonderful Beaujolais.

This is a wine to enjoy when the weather is still warm and one can still enjoy the summertime. But it won’t be wrong to buy this bottle when autumn comes as well.
