Jurancon is a wine region in the south west of France in the foothills of the majestic Pyrenees. It produces a dry white wine and a famous kind of sweet wine. Today we give you two bottles of dry gold, from the same producer. And the price is awesome.

Tasting notes

Picture

Lapeyre Jurancon  Sec 2017 - 189kr

Deep golden yellow, going towards the look of a sweet wine on colour.

Delicious smell of nuts, lime zest, pear and fresh apricots.

Great flavours of apricots and freshly squeezed lemons. Fruit driven wine with excellent acidity. Pure and long after taste.

FOOD
A great food wine that would work excellent with crab and lobster. But it even has the weight needed to handle more powerful stuff. Try an autumn salad with pork and sweet potatoes.

Lapeyre Evedéncia 2016 - 239kr

Deep golden yellow, going towards the look of a sweet wine on colour. A touch more intense than the little brother above.

Complex nose with more dried fruits, than the above. Where the little brother showcases fresh fruits, this has the same fruits, just dried up.

Mandarin orange festival in the mouth, with a quick performance from some apricots and x-mas spices. Balanced acidity and long delicious after tast.

This is an excellent food wine, even more than the bottle above.

FOOD
Try this with grilled fish or curry based dishes. A chicken red curry would be a match made in heaven.
