Some things deserve to be repeated, and talking about this Cab from Australia qualifies big time. I first wrote about Wynns, the producer, a couple of years ago. It’s one of the finest winemakers in the country, best known for their high quality reds and delivering excellent consistent wines year after year.
Their best buy is this Cabernet from Coonawarra, a small and sought after wine region south east in Australia. Very drinkable now, but will also continue to develop for 8-10 years, if you wanna cellar a few bottles. And while prices on most things have sky rocketed, this Cabernet Sauvignon still remains reasonable. Current vintage is 2020 and packs a punch with flavour and finesse. All in all many excellent reasons for trying a bottle this weekend.

Tasting notes

Wynns Black Label Coonwarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 - 269kr

Deep red colour.
Intense nose with loads of black currants, eucalyptus and oriental spices. Very juicy and fresh in the mouth, with an abundance of black currants and herbs on the palette. Well integrated tannins, that gives this wine good structure. Long aftertaste.

With Food
Try it with a nice, juicy grilled burger or a beef stew.
