Everything is blossoming. Nature is shifting gear and brighter days are ahead. For many this also means lighter choices when it comes to wine.
This last winter we presented one of the great reds from this Chateau in Beaujolais, France. Our wine pick off the week is their lovely white. Grape is 100% Chardonnay and the vintage is 2018.

Tasting notes

Picture
Chateau Thivin Clos de Rochebonne Beaujolais Blanc 2018 - 244kr

Light yellow colour.
Appealing smell of yellow fruits like plums, honeydew melon and lemons. Nice touch of oak and honey.
The taste follows the nose, with ripe yellow fruits and hints of toast and butter. Very nice acidity and a long lasting aftertaste.

Food pairing
Excellent acidity makes this a rather versatile wine for food pairings. White fish dishes with buttery sauces will be yummy. But also superb with salads of both chicken and ham. You could even try a casserole with som light game meat such as rabbit.
