Wine of the week: Butter and Toast

This Burgundy style beauty from South Africa is our wine of the week. Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, partially spontaneous fermented and stored in oak barrels.
It's rich, round and smooth. It imitates much what is loved by expensive Chardonnays from Burgundy. Delicate smells of butter, toast, oak and roasted nuts, at an affordable price.

Tasting Notes

Elgin Vintners Chardonnay 2018 - 209 kr

Golden yellow colour. Smell of fresh lemons, apricots, peaches, butter and toast. Hints of roasted nuts as well.

Delicate in the mouth with lemons, butter and well integrated oak notes. 

Very smooth and crowd pleasing wine that drinks excellent on it's own, but will do well with many kinds of food.

Food pairing
Try it with sole with butter sauce or creamy chicken. Pork dishes will also  be an excellent  match.
