Wine of The Week: A Tax Free Favourite

This week we bring you one of our best buys from the Tax Free world of traveling. This beauty from Burgundy delivers very decent quality, at a very friendly price. What's not to love?! :)

Tasting notes

Château De Santenay Mercurey 2013 - Kr 169 (tax free)

​Light burgundy red colour, with a slightly brown edge.
Rich nose that takes you straight in to the woods. It has a clear earthy character, with smell of autumn leafs and dry wooden logs. Complimentary sent off ripe cherries and black currants. 

Cherries also in the mouth, with well integrated wood spices. Nicely rounded tannins and medium length.

Food pairing
This wine fits into the easy drinking category. It doesn't put up much of a fight and will go with light dishes. Calf, chicken and turkey dishes are gret options. Try a dinner style turkey sandwich or a classic Wienerschnitzel with herb butter.
