Rock’n roll wine from Croatia - 90p

As summer slowly is turning to autumn we found a wine perfect for this transition. And we’re heading to a summer favorite for many; Croatia. Known for their stunning scenery, iconic filming locations and deep cultural roots. But less known for their wines. However they have been making wine here all the way back to the Ancient Greek settlers, some 2500 years ago.
Croatia is home to over 300 geographically defined wine regions and a strict classification system. So with this information in hand, it might not come as a surprise that Croatia produces some gorgeous wines.
Today we’ve selected a very cool rosé from producer Roxanich, situated all the way up
In the north west corner of the country, in the region of Istria. Here they share the Adriatic ocean climate with northern Italy and crafts stunning wines. This cool rosé is made from a grape called Terrano. It’s a wine with a purpose, and it grabs your attention from first sip. It will go excellent with a wide variety of dishes and is eligible for cellaring for a few years.

Dark pink.
Aromas of ripe red fruits, oven roasted herbs, autumn forest and flowers. 
Rich and complex in the mouth with savory red fruits and herbs. It has a salty feel in the finishing notes, good acidity, long aftertaste and a light tannin structure.


With Food
Will be great with most light meat dishes, featuring chicken, pork and light game as rabbit.  But will also be great company for a pizza night where toppings vary.
