My new Spanish affair - 89p

I have a new favorite. A beautiful white everyday wine, full of personality and elegance, and it’s from Spain. I’ve written about Dominio do Bibei before. Brilliant winemakers from Galicia, with a great portfolio of wines. The whole operation is situated in the Bibei valley. A dry and rugged region, with steep slopes and vines averaging about 50 years. Elevation is between 350-650 meters above the sea and the soli largely consists of slate, granite and clay.

Straw yellow on colour 
Yellow fruits, apricots, plums and warm stones. Hints of flowers and herbs.
Delicate in the mouth with plenty of yellow fruits and a salty feel. Well balanced acidity and a dry clean finish. Good length.


With food
This is a prime wine with good seafood dishes.
