Golden drops from Hungary - 90p

I came across this magic bottle recently. A bone dry 13 years old Tokaji, and at an excellent price. Hungary is most known for their sweet wine «Tokaji», but it also comes as a dry white wine made on the grape Furmint. 
Our pick of the week is fermented in old French oak barrels, and aged on the lees for another 10 months. It drinks very well now, but it will continue to develop in an interesting direction for another 5-6 years. Killer wine with food.

Golden yellow colour.
Lovely aromas of ripe citrus, roasted nuts, wet warm stones and salty sea.
Vibrant, present and quite concentrated in the mouth, with citrus and apples. Hints of chalk. Nice and fat mouthfeel, with impressive acidity and a salty touch to a long finish.


With food
Bring out your richest seafood dishes, or try with chicken or pork. The acidity will cut through and balance it all out.
