Delicious wine from Lebanon - 87p

Lebanon had a had a golden valley, excellent for farming and growing vines. The Bekaa Valley is situated a good hour drive inland from the coast, and is home to excellent craftsmanship in winemaking. Today we’ve selected Domaine Wardy, 4th generation winemakers running the operation since 1881. They produce a wide variety of single grape wines, which are all very good. I’d recommend you try their Syrah and Cinsault, if you crave some red’s. Because today we’ve been tasting their white blend. A mix of Sauvignon Blanc, Obeidi, Viognier and Chardonnay, sourced from old organically farmed vines. A really delicious treat at a very nice price.

​Domaine Wardy Beqaa White 2022 - 219kr

Light deep yellow color. 
Nice and aromatic with yellow apples, peaches, summer flowers and wet rocks.
Good intensity in the fruit, with yellow apples, spices, herbs and roasted nuts.
Rich and silky in the mouth with a hint of bitterness in the finish. Good length.


With Food
Very versatile wine for pairing with food. You could do rich and buttery fish dishes, you could do a chicken cassoulet, creamy vegetable soups and even pork dishes.
