Delicious from Southern Italy - 88p

In the mountainous region of Irpinia, about an hour inland from Naples, a new favorite winery has emerged. «Azienda Agricola Ferrara Benito de Ferrara Gabriella» is a small family run winery run by the Ferrara Family. I’ve recently written about one of their white ones, and today I’ve selected a treasured red. 
It’s made from 100% Aglianico grapes, sourced from their Montemilleto vineyard, at an altitude of 500-600 meters above sea level.
This is an elegant wine, packed with flavors, and it comes at a very decent price. This will be a winner with your barbecue this summer.

Deep red color.
Nose with warm spices, cigar box, eucalyptus, dark red berries and cherry. Elegant in the mouth with cherry and spices. Good concentration, juicy and a long spicy aftertaste.
